Burnley join race to sign Adam Lallana from Liverpool

Burnley have joined the race to sign Liverpool’s Adam Lallana with Sean Dyche intent on convincing the midfielder to make the move to Turf Moor.

Meanwhile, Lallana is one of the Premier League players who’ll be signing contract extensions as his current deal with Liverpool expires on June 30.

However, he will remain at Anfield till the end of the current season in order to pick a Premier League winners’ medal with Liverpool just two wins away from being crowned champions for the 2019/20 season.

It’s possible that he stays at Liverpool beyond this season but the 32-year-old will likely opt for a team in the Premier League where he’ll get regular first-team action as this will no longer be the case at Liverpool having fallen down the pecking order over the years.

Leicester City are also interested in the midfielder as Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen for a reunion having signed him for the Reds in 2014 when he was Liverpool boss.

If the foxes can maintain their UCL qualification spot for next season, they’ll undoubtedly be the favorites to land his signature due to the added incentive of Champions League football.

Adam Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton in the summer of 2014 in a deal worth £25million and established himself as a regular at Anfield in his first three seasons at the club until injury worries surfaced.

Regardless, he has been used more this season in comparison to the last two seasons under Jurgen Klopp. It can be recalled that he scored a crucial equalizer in the game against Manchester United in October. The game ended in a 1 all draw.
